In May, we partnered with Dementia Training Australia to deliver two professional development workshops for GPs in the Echuca region, with 21 participants attending across both sessions. CPD points were available for attendees.
The first session, delivered by experienced trainer Hilton Koppe, provided GPs with practical knowledge and skills to support their patients living with dementia.
The second session focused on complex case studies, offering an interactive workshop for GPs who see patients with cognitive complaints. Participants had the opportunity to work through challenging real-world scenarios in a supported learning environment.
Equipping local GPs with up-to-date knowledge and skills is a vital part of the hVMC model — ensuring that patients receive the best possible care from the moment they walk into their GP's office.
