We are thrilled to announce that hVMC has officially launched in Orange, New South Wales — bringing specialist memory assessment services to yet another regional community for the very first time.
Patients in Orange and surrounding areas can now be referred by their GP to access the hVMC service through Orange Health Service, with Local Coordinator Amy Copping on hand to guide them through the process. As with our other sites, assessments will take place predominantly via telehealth with a specialist, supported by local clinical staff.
This launch is a major milestone for the hVMC program and a testament to the hard work of the entire team — from the co-design and localisation workshops, to the COPE training for 20 local OTs, to the warm welcome from the Orange community. We cannot wait to see the difference this service will make for people in the region. Watch this space!
