Between September and November 2023, we held four co-design workshops to shape the hVMC model from the ground up — with the people who matter most.
With over 50 participants from across regional and remote Australia, these workshops brought together an incredibly diverse group of voices: medical specialists and allied health professionals, people living with dementia and their carers, policy makers and researchers, directors of community and client services, and representatives from Dementia Australia.
Co-design means that the people who will use and deliver the service have a real say in how it works. These workshops were rich, collaborative conversations that helped us understand what communities truly need — and how we can deliver a service that is genuinely fit for purpose.
