On 5 February 2026, the hVMC program at Echuca Regional Health came to a close — marking the end of an incredible chapter in the hVMC story.
What the Echuca team achieved over this period has been truly remarkable. From clearing a nine-month waiting list, to training local GPs and OTs, to seeing 72 patients through a world-class specialist assessment service — all without anyone having to travel to the city — the Echuca site has demonstrated beyond doubt that the hVMC model works.
We are deeply grateful to every clinician, coordinator, specialist, and patient who was part of this journey. The learnings from Echuca will continue to shape and strengthen hVMC as it grows to new communities across Australia.
